Taiwan is a small country but has a big economy. Formerly known as Formosa (beautiful Island), Taiwan lies in East Asia and is controlled by the Republic of China (ROC) since 1949.

 

Taipei is the largest and capital city of Taiwan. The people of Taiwan are called the Taiwanese. Though Taiwan is known as one of the smallest country in the world, it’s one of the strongest economy players in world economy. Manufacturing, Textile and Technology are among the biggest industries in Taiwan.
