Plant engineers who want to work in Netherlands for a short-term contract must not let this opportunity pass. The position is open for mechanical engineers with relevant technical experience within gravure-based industry. The workers they are looking for must be ideally qualified to HNC/NVQ Level 3 in a manufacturing / engineering related discipline. Successful applicants will receive a salary of £30,000 per annum
As a plant engineer, you will be required to perform the following tasks:
Provide maintenance support for plant-wide quality production including maintaining proper records for work orders, fulfilling verbal and written requests and maintaining other associated production/maintenance paperwork.
Ensure that the machines are safe to operate at all times according to the EHS regulations and the Alcan recommendations. Undertake risk assessments for all non-routine work.
Ensure personal safety and those of the people around him when maintaining or repairing a machine.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts as well as cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Carry out the scheduled maintenance during machine stoppage.
Repair and assist to restart machine when a breakdown occurs.
Utilize efficient and effective use of equipment and tool resources to minimize waste, downtime and unit costs.
Assess the possibility to improve the performance of the machines after analyzing the reasons for breakdown.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, and tools.
Ability to make simple welds on equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
