It is a known fact that petroleum prices are increasing and that the Middle East is the world’s  source for this widely in demand commodity but this is basically out foreign workers’ hard work.


Gulf region specialist to the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London Mai Yamani said, “In general, they have not succeeded in replacing the expatriates, who definitely have better work ethics and work for cheaper salaries.


Attempts to further nationalization policies have been futile as there are still more foreign workers than locals. Such attempts were deemed useless because locals preferred working for the government rather than in private sectors as these jobs are considered “less prestigious and less secure”. Moreover, foreign workers prove to be more skilled than the locals.
